Using software from Windows XP in the Windows 2000 and older systems



Microsoft has made a "slide show" screen saver for Windows XP, this article explain how to use this screen saver in the other Windows ( 95 / 98 / Me / NT and 2000 ).

1. - Find and download the file gdiplus_dnld.exe at the Microsoft website.

This is a new graphics library from Microsoft. You should install this file, in the path box, select your Windows system folder ( example C:\Window\System for Windows 95/98/Me and C:\WinNT\System32 for Windows NT/2000 ), and finish it by clicking on the Unzip button.

2. - Take the file ssmypics.scr from any Windows XP computer.

This is a Microsoft "slide show" screen saver, please copy this file to the System folder ( example C:\Window\System for Windows 95/98/Me and C:\WinNT\System32 for Windows NT/2000 ).

Done! Go to the Desktop settings and setup the "slide show" screen saver.
