NetSend Command


Need some help for Windows Net send command? Please read our article in the tips-and-tricks section - net send command.

You can send the messages from the command line to any user using LanTalk XP software or Winpopup or Messenger service.

Example: There's a special form on your webserver named Quick Message to Webmaster. Simply plug-in the netsend.exe command script and users can quickly send messages to the Webmaster's machine.

The netsend.exe application is present in LanTalk XP folder.

How to use netsend.exe

Format:

netsend.exe /server /text of message

Where:

/server - target computer name, workgroup name or * - for all users on a network

/text of message - text to send

Example : To send a message to computer name webmaster with text: "Hi! How are you?"

Command line reads:  netsend.exe /webmaster /hi! how are you?
