The reason I like your program is it is simple to use. Most of the employees here are not very experienced on computers. The MOST important feature for us is the fact that LanTalk will pop up with messages no matter if we are on the local computer or logged onto the server using remote connect. Other programs will not pop up over the remote desktop if the user in working in remote desktop instead of the local computer.

We are a small charity relying mostly on volunteers. We have had wifi networking for some time, but most of volunteers are not very computer literate, which meant exploiting the full potential of networking difficult. In particular, volunteers were not comfortable transferring files. As most of them were comfortable with attaching files to emails, I decided an easy option would be to install instant messaging software which had the option of attaching files to messages. We are using LanTalk NET in our elementary school where it helps provides emergency notifications to teachers who cannot hear a regular intercom system. The Event and Exhibition Partnership has been using Lantalk net for some time, we have found it easy to deploy, normally less than ten minutes! and the team have found it easy to use. Because it allows you to add attachments, it has completely replaced the usual email system. As the owner, it has cut down on my internal phone usage, email usage and sticky notes, no more bits of paper, we are now looking to extend the system into our warehouse. Support and upgrades are easy, got a problem, email the support team and they email right back, no knowledge base to trog through first, need to upgrade, they email you, connect, download and its done. I am not sure what hours they open for, but they always seem to be on call!

We have been happy with Lantalk XP these last years. It has many features. Most of the time we are using the same computer but once in a while (and lately more and more) we have to move and log in at another computer. Lantalk XP would list the computer names but if the user was logged in at another computer, we would not know and the message would be missed. I like the ability to LanTalk.NET to display, without delay, the actual user list. I can send a message to John and it would arrive no matter if he is logged in at Mary's computer.

I tried other messengers but they require more time to resolve usernames or requiere to much work (to make them work).

LanTalk.NET just worked immediately.

Also I wanted to tell you that I tried Vypress and Softros and maybe a couple more.

I have a large automotive repair shop with nine computer stations (one for each employee). Because of the buildings size we used to spend a large amount of time going back and forth to look at issues with vehicles, talk about what parts were required, or if a delivered part was here yet or even worse, the wrong part.

I did not want to use MSN instant messaging or the other web based products since that also opened the door to having my technicians spending time talking to their family/friends.

With your product I do not have to worry about that or if our internet connection goes down. It was super simple to install and everyone loves it. I would highly recommend this for any organization that needs quick and efficient internal communications.

The software is great. We tried it for about one month and then i decided to purchase. We use it for leaving messages and sending files within our internal network.




I found your program on the Net while looking for a program that would allow Intra-net communications without using email for internal messaging, I ran the program for the 60 day trail period as suggested and liked what I saw so decided to purchase the program.

Your product helps us very nicely by allowing us to quickly ask other staff in our department questions while on the phone supporting the Campus Telephone Operator position, or passing over the phone duty if we need a quick break. We can ask our Manager if he wants to take a telephone call without disturbing him much. Your product has not crashed or caused problems on the network like several others we have tried. Seems very stable.
As far as support, we have had good results. I asked a question on the customer service section on your webpage about the criteria for your discounts, and had an answer very quickly. When we place the order for your product, it was mentioned in a order confirmation email that it could take a day or two for delivery of the product, but we actually had it within an hour or so.
So we have had a very decent (good) experience.

Your program is perfect for in house im-ing. We tried windows messenger but didn't like the login procedure or that you had to have internet. We do use internet but just nice to know we are all directly connected for quick easy messages.

We had previously used PhoneSlips for interoffice messaging. We started using Office Tools Pro for Time/Billing which also had a client database like Phoneslips and we didn't need to duplicate. Office Tools Pro had a messaging module that we didn't particularly like because we couldn't readily see previous message history. I found your product on the web, downloaded yesterday and tried it out on a few workstations.

Our small business was looking for instant messaging software that could be used to converse with employees on the other side of the office as well as let an employee know that a client was holding on a specific telephone line.
