This is the custom folder editor. Use it to edit folders
and their settings.
(in the Registry editing mode)

(in the environment variables editing mode)

Custom folder (as well as the Dynamic folder)
is a special kind of folder used for creating backup copies of environment
variables and the System Registry data. This kind of folder has two modes
described below.
Custom folders can be very helpful when you need to create
a backup copy of some application (this method works for about 80% of all
programs). Its main peculiarity lies in the fact that you can save all values
to a special file and later load them on any other computer (it will work
even if the required application on another computer has a different installation
path) or on your own machine after reinstalling the application.
If you cannot set up a custom folder for some application,
e-mail us and we'll try to help you.
Some pre-built folders are available in the Downloads
section of our site.
Take it from the Registry - Mark
this checkbox to take values from the System Registry or clear it to work
with environment variables.
Registry Mode
Registry root - Select the root Registry
value from this drop-down list.
Value name - Specify the name
of the value to take the folder name from.
Path in the registry - Specify the
full path from the root folder to the required value (do not include the
root and the value itself in the path ).
Environment Variables Mode
Configuration string -
Specify the environment variable name and the auxiliary path (if necessary).
Possible names of the environment variables you can find in the environment
variables section.
Common Data
Folder name preview - This
field displays the result of your data processing. Here you can see what
your folder will look like. If you don't see anything, check all settings
once again, there might be a mistake somewhere.
